Is the engine still overheating?

 

it runs hot. i think it just needs a more efficient radiator.

 

motor-tek came today. turns out after driving the car a little the engine has a knocking rod. i tried to work out a deal with him for cheaper but it was a no go. so now the car sits and can be bought for $1000 as is. it will need ship or uhaul towed if you are close.

$1000 folks.
buy a new crank and machine it - $200
new bearings- $120
and say an extra $100 for anything else.

so $500 roughly and the car will live again. personally i think this is a good price. if your close you can get a uhaul and tow it back. regardless it wont be more than $400 to ship it. and i have DATED RECEIPTS to PROVE that the motor was just rebuilt. dont ask me why the rod is knocking cause i dont know. probably b/c of our shitty machine shop here in town. i told them to machine the crank and then order bearings that will fit.
