washer camber trick?
I just bought a set of ingalls spacers and bolts from importhorizon.com (great prices, fast shipping). Anyone have this or used it before. About how many spacers should i use. It came with six per side.
I am not dropped to low but it is still low enough to get that annoying butterflying look in the back. I am probably right around two inches all around.
TIA

What exactly did you get? Longer bolts and washers? If so, and if you paid more than $7 you got ripped! Well, anymore than $12 when you consider gas / time to get the $hit.

i can' t find the link , but it's like every 2 washers is like a 1/2 degree of positive camber adjustment i think
But basically.... goes like this:
( assuming you've already got the wheel off )
-Remove one of the bolts completely
-remove the other bolt slightly ( but don't take it all the way out ) just so there is enough room for the washers.
-Put the washers behind the mounting piece and screw the bolt back in.
- take out the other bolt and loosen the other side a bit.
-put the other washers in blah blah blah...
-Same for the other side
it's pretty simple.
Then just eyeball it untill your happy with the camber y0 ------

When I used the 3/16" galvanized washers from Home Depot it was one washer = about .75 degree of positive camber.

I think it's better to buy an ingalls kit than the home depot washers cause they're probably better quality. You wouldn't want one of those bolts snapping on you, that's for sure.
Of course this is about the time everyone else comes out and says, "I've had the home depot bolts for 3yrs on my car with no problems".....

yeah, you are a retard. any 3/8" washer will do. as long as you go to an auto parts store and get grade 8 bolts (tensil strength 180,000psi) then you're good and it'll cost you a LOT less than $20
I know, I'll get on ebay and sell a bolt/washer set that I spray in autozone blue anodized paint for $20 under the name H-spec racing and make a fortune
geez...ingalls spacer kits for $20
I ran the home depot setup for 6 months before going with an adjustable setup oy!
