Also, the '00 shifter is polished rather than the black '98 (although it's covered on the '98 anyway), and the '00 gauge cluster has an immobilizer indicator light which the '98 doesn't have.

Interesting. It should be a green light, shaped somewhat like a key, in the lower left area of the cluster.
As for the CF trim fitting the '98's, it does. However, A.) It isn't real CF, or even a good replica of CF and B.) The pieces are extremely expensive from Acura. Your best bet is finding someone who wants to trade for the plain plastic, or to find them used.
