Bought car it was shitty making motor replacement shitty Need some help.
My little cousin goes and buys 92-95 hatch with an integra front conversion and a h23 swap. He gets it, it lasts about 6 days and then this happens.
motor locks up on the way home from hsi work we tow it with turbo deisel ford. We pull motor and begin to find all sorts of half assed bullshit. Isntead of using amount kit. They just cutthe passenger side mount and drilled a new hole?
here are some pics of hte wiring. and the unpainted engine bay and **** just pisses me off.....
thats the injectior wiriing.
thats some other wires and **** that are butt connected to a few other wires with a few running to tops and a few running to i dont know where the hell.
i dont know what the **** .....
So we bought a JDM h23 long block from Hmotors.com and now i have a few questions as h series motors are not somthing i have reserched..
What is this plug?

Why does the USDM fuel rail have 2 holes
and the JDM have only one?
I am at a loss on the wirieing that is the only part of a swap that frustrates me. WHy was all that wiring done on the injectors? There is a resistor box. Why?
The intake cam was retarded 4 degrees. exaust cam set at normal. Im too pissed to think right now. Hope to hear from you guys and hope my pics worked.

Why would anybody buy something A.) with an integra front end conversion, B.) with such halfassed work in the engine bay and C.) without any semblance of professionalism on the wiring?

i wasnt able to be there with him when he test drove/ purchased the car. bost of this **** *** wiring was hidden. Like i said it wasnt till pulling hte motor that i noticed all this.

eeeewwwww, ghetto rigged set up! I would find out wtf the seller did to the car...and ask for some money back..unless your cousin signed a form stating he was buying the car as is.........
If you need some help let me know. Located in Tyler Tx. If I were you, I would start fresh wiht a new harness. And since your not VTEC, you could use a dx harness (make sure its 4wire O2). I have those laying around. And I also have a template made for converting Civic engine harnesses to fit Prelude motors. Just let me know

hahhahahah sorry but when ur cousin signed that title over to his name (or parents) the original owner lost all his rights to the car and doesnt have to pay for anything.

to answer some of your questions, the prelude injectors need a resister box because they work differently than a standard d or b series injector setup. im not sure on the specific and how much this helps you but if you search for it i believe in a post about putting an h22 in a del sol someone posted a very good diagram explaining alot of things involved in the h series swaps. And yes, that swap looks like complete **** s be prepared for fun. it also looks like the chassis tranny mount is pretty mangled, what's up with that?

cant blame the seller ur cousin bought the car knowing there is a swap in it he should of waited for u if u had time or not. plus the engine bay is not even the same color, shady already. i dont know if anyone would buy a swap car without knowing nothing about swaps

because if you're running low impedence injectors on a high impedence injection system, you need a resistor box. The H series 270cc injectors are a low impedence injector

Yeah its quite obvious that the person who had it in the prelude ran the **** out of it and then they got it in the hatch and ran the **** out of it and can anyone explain the 4degree retard on the intake cam? No2?

My guess with the wiring is that they used a USDM H23A1 wiring harness. That plug that is near the distributor goes to the external coil the H23A1's have. Or at least that's what it looks like in the pic.

Why would you buy a car without inspecting the engine and stuff like that first? Specially on a car with all that work done to it... You are just an idiot.. You have no reason to be pist off.. It was your own stupidity that got you into this situation.. Sad but true.
