helP: damn skunk2
i just installed skunk2 manifold & when i started the car, it's reving sky high.(i turned the engine off when it reached 6)
anyhow how do i fix this? - i have loosed the throttle cable all the way, it seems like sensor or hose problem

ifyour car is instatly reving when you turn the car on, its the throttlr body. take off your intake piping when you turn 0n the car to see if something is keeping the throttle open. also, make sure all sensors are legit

did you get instructions when you got the manifold? if so then it should have some sort of chart tellin you which hoses go where and what to do if i remember correctly...

gasket wouldn't make my car rev all the way as soon i starting the car. i'm thinking it might be the cruise throttle cable, when i was trying to pull out the throttle cable, i accidently pull on cruise throttle cable. would that cuz rev??? but i didn't turn the curise control.
i dunno, i haven't even ate 2 days. i'm taking some rest now, hopefully some1 has answer to this

did you get a cel light
it might be that you put the wrong connector on the wrong sensor as in the tps and map sensor , try to swap them and try again that might be the problem

map sensor is longer & tps is shorter, so there is no way i'll mix those two. throttle cable is off the body. i'll go over to my car now post some pix for u guys
obd1 94 gsr converted to sk2 im, street setup
still using the gsr throttle cable setup because I dont have a non-gsr tb rotor/pulley yet.
evap canister vacuum hoses.
Follow the smaller hose from the evap canister (the hose with the white letters all over it) and it ends at the black round cap thing... can anyone tell me what the black thing with the round cap is? I placed it to the right of the fuel filter next to the firewall. It used to be bolted onto the gsr manifold but I dont see where it goes on the skunk2 manifold.

if you look carefully, you can see the iab plug (pink and yellow wires) dangling.

black canister with the brown plug is the pcv valve
hard to see, the iacv plug (blk/blu yel/blk wires)
Here are the plug wire colors to the best of my knowledge:
sensor on top of throttle body: yel/wht grn/wht wht/yel
tps (on side of tb): grn/blu red/blk yel/blu
the black thing with the round cap (does anyone know what this is or what it is called??): yel/blk red
iacv (bolted onto the back of the im): blk/blu yel/blk
iat sensor: grn/blu red/yel
iab plug that is no longer used (just let it hang): pnk/blu yel/blk

Was there any old gasket stuck to the head. If there was and you didn't scrape it off, it's possible that the mani and the head arn't mating properly. Reving like that is the symptom of a leak somewhere. You could try this too: Get some carb cleaner and spray it over the throttle body and intake manifold while the car is running. If there's a leak the revs will drop periodically. Then just pinpoint where you spray when that happens. Hope that helps!
i would love to do that, but there isn't enough time for me to spray **** on the car. as soon as i start, it goes broom broom oh, redline. i mean it revs like i'm on a drag strip.
help help help, have to go work tomorrow, or i'm fired.
