Default Finally running: Precision SC63 GE B18C Hondata

After like 3 months of downtime.. I just finished my friend Gil's turbo civic. We went through 2 engine changes in the time it was down.. at first we just wanted 350-400whp safely on pump gas on a solid engine, so we did a piston/rod/block guard B18C5.. just as we get the engine back we start thinking realistically about what we will end up doing with the car.. So he bites the bullet and does a full build..

B18C1
C5 crank
Golden Eagle Goldzilla Sleeves
Pauter rods (same rods in Jotech's record setting civic)
CP Pistons.. only the best...
C5 head
Skunk2 Valvesprings and retainers
stock valves

The Turbo system remains mostly the same as was previously built at Lightspeed.. seen here

However we made a few changes...
We upgraded to the TiAl 40mm wastegate.
The turbo has been upgraded to the super baller outta control throw down Precision SC63.

oh yea.. and the down pipe...

The fuel system has been beefed up a bit.. We had a 255LPH intank pump, but for the power we are shooting for we felt the Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump was in order.. We also ran #8 fuel line to the rail.

Thanks to the cheezeman for the pics

Also I would like to thank Rod at precision.. AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

If you dont have a Precision turbo on your car.. You are most likely slow or frustrated

I logged 80miles on the car tonite.. should have enough on it to dyno on monday.

Looks great as usual Jason, but do you really trust those AEM regulators? I've seen so many of them fail that I don't spec them out anymore.

Funny thing about us guys kicking out good projects - we only have time to post about them in the wee hours

Again, good work

i've seen 2 cases where the aem diaphragms ripped. both under 70psi @max . would definitely not trust one of those.

Nice setup...like the way you mounted the fuel pump + filter.

Jason my favorite thing about the car is the bracket you mounted the pump and filter on. The whole trip home from ur shop, after seeing that set up, all i could think about was how i wanted an external fuel pump set up like that. lol. and can't forget the real 3" downpipe w/ AC! sick sick sick. can't wait for power.

That "something" must be very fast and agile to move underneath the car at speeds and then do a roundhouse back kick to that fuel pump.

Vaportrail: I dont trust anything until it breaks on me... then I throw it away.. We havent had a problem with the AEM regulators.. Cheezephag has one on his car and we ran 28psi boost on top of 30psi fuel pressure, and no problems.. I dont generally run fuel pressures very high. But if we have a problem we will very quickly change to an aeromotive.

TheShocker: Cheezefrog took the pics. I think took the pics with his watch or something. I dont know.. the man has too many gadgets..

Alex, Gil is not putting a cage in the car yet.. its just a little a daily driver. AC PS stereo full lap o luxury in that civic.. BUT LOOK OUT!!! Im shooting at beating you!!

As for the external pump, The brackets that hold it are pretty heavy mild steel. we could run over just about anything and it would do more damage to the underside of the car than to the fuel system. For the most part we just watch where we drive and avoid running over stuff.
