CW paint on wheels are starting to peel off. What are my options?
The lip on my CW ITR wheels are starting to peel and reflect their age. I'm a shade under 80K so my warranty has long since passed me. And to mention, I am also on a tight budget, in other words I am a full time college student.
I was thinking about powdercoating them, but I remember Ben Tang mentioning how he could not find a perfect match for CW. So then I was thinking about going flat black, but then powdercoating is not exactly a budget decision.
During my search to find OEM paint colors in a can, I came across TowerPaint. They can fill up a can of CW for $14.95 each. I'm not sure how good it is, but a lot of the ClubSi members seem to recommend it in their quest to paint things EBP.
I'm not sure, but since I need a can of this stuff to paint my scuff plates on my hood locks, I might as well give it a shot and spray down a wheel and see how well it holds up. I don't know why I'm even bothering to post this, now that I sort of helped myself out. Oh well, perhaps you have something better in mind
