Most track days, you will notice the glass + breakables on vehicles taped up.
Sticky tires heat cycle, and pick up all kinds of rocks, pebbles, tire flopsom, etc, and throw it everywhere. Its best that if something does break on the car, that the chunks are kept to a minimum and contained on the car rather than spread across the track for others to enjoy
