Default New Record - 539whp on stock block

Some of you might remember the Secret Services 240SX. It's been talked about constantly over in the Nissan world for a while now. It's turned rumors into lies, theories into myths, and now it's breaking some serious records.

Using a 100% stock block, with unknown miles salvaged from a junkyard in Japan, with the aid of only a head gasket, the head was reworked with a few choice parts but remains unported. 1000cc injectors, Haltech E11s, Garrett GT3040 turbo, small Blitz FMIC, and SS designed and fabricated intercooler and exhaust piping. Run was made on 110 leaded fuel and 26psi. The previous record was held by Phase2 Motortrend, at 526hp at 26psi and beefier cams!

This is all brought together by, what else, a Full Race designed exhaust manifold - the ONLY manifold that could take the abuse we've subjected to it and make incredible power. Previously we've tried other companies, which failed to hold together, sometimes destructing themselves from the inside out - destroying the turbo. Only Full Race has lived and not even asked for a sweat band

Is it done yet? No, but by the graph (which has NO smoothing in it btw) you can see we've hit some bottle necks. The Walbro pump and stock fuel lines are maxed out. Stock coils are totally out of breath, and spark was quite an issue. Only with the Haltech could this have even happened successfully. Oh yeah, the SPEC stage 3 clutch gave out on us too

Anyway I just wanted to give the mad scientist himself, Enthalpy aka Scott, a hearty congrats. He's the builder, designer, tuner, and lastly, the funder. This car WASN'T sponsored by Visa. Great work Scott, you deserve all the glory.

I thought I would share this with you guys since some of you know of this car.

This car is bad *** in person. The turbocharger (GT3040) is insane too. The compressor wheel doesn't stop moving! I don't think Scott will mind if I post this picture I have some of the exterior but I don't know if Vapor wants his other posted

Talked with John/Vapor and he doesn't mind. Here they are. These pictures do no justice (not edited either).

Now, knowing your coils are out of pep, are you going to try a MSD-DIS or something else? I have a few other things you may want to consider laying around our shop, not sure how feasible they are...

well for one, we were STILL running 7 heat range plugs, way too hot. Heat brings resistance, so just switching to a cooler plug will reduce that and improve spark. With the haltech, we're also able to manipulate charge time for the coils, and we're still running on stock coil packs. Splitfire makes an upgrade kit that is a possibility still, I will check with him on that. We're currently running the HKS Twin Power ignition system and pretty happy with it.

As for the comments, I gotta give props where they are due. You guys build top notch stuff!

I see high dollar supercar owners peeing in they're collective pants. My God this is a monster. I think I hear a viper owner crying.
