JRSC: Are these rotors ok?
I bought a JRSC from HoustonSi, the kit should run for less than 7500 miles.
When i spin the pulley i hear "scratches" and sometimes there is a "resist".
Are the rotors damaged ?

Hey man from the look of the rotors they look ok no big scratches but there seems to be alot of carbon build up looks to me like it has more then 7500miles on it.
What is on the rotor on the first picture? I would say glue but i'm sure it is not glue.
And on the second picture it looks like the coating getting of?

Those rotors are toast man.
Its going to need a rebuild.
On the second picture you can see the teflon coating has come off the rotors. That usually a sign it needs a rebuild.
The charger definantly has more than 7500 miles on it.
Ask the seller for your money back!

I recieved your email and i will discuss it with you. I bought that charger and it had 5 k on it. we built my motor and i ran the car for no more than 2500 miles.
The parts did need some cleaning my mechanic told me, but he was in a rush to pack everything up for me.
I never had a problem with the supercharger nor the rotors spinning. At no time did the blower not want to spin or act funny when on the car. When i got the blower the "teflon" wasnt on the rotors either, but i never knew that to be a problem.

THATS what it looks like after only 7500 miles ?!!!! Either they are totally lying to you or that blower was BADLY abused. There are noticable scratches on the tips, it looks like some of the rotor coating is coming off (a sure sign of overheating/over-reving the blower) and there are probably scratches inside the case.
RUN, don't walk away from that thing. Its not worth anything but an interesting paperweight.
P.S. You MIGHT be able to get it rebuilt but the clearances need to be tight for it to really work properly and if the case is scratched it's pretty much FUBAR.

When i bought the kit, there was no coating on the rotors. I didnt have a problem with it at all.
As described the blower was running 13.5 psi for about 2500 miles.

Unfortunately that's your problem right there. Overheated the sucker. You ran it more than double what it normally runs, and still over what most people would step their's up to.
I do commend you for stepping up to the plate for this, I hope you guys can work it out peacefully.

Best of luck to you guys working things out. On a side note though, my rotors have about a 1/4" of teflon coming off the them and I have "yet" to see a JRSC come off a car without some teflon coating coming off. Could someone shed some light on this?

yeah. its normal. like i said, its not that bad from what i can see. i bet that supercharger runs fine if nothing is wrong with the gearing or bearings.

how can you tell this? you need to back statements like this up.
i am sensing there are a lot of opinions floating around in this thread and few of the people posting on here have owned a jrsc and are familiar with the wear characteristics of the parts.
people need to back their statements up and not just say **** cause theres some goo smeared on a part in the pic.

That blower has some SERIOUS wear. The edges of the rotors should be very smooth as it has very close tolerances to the blower housing.
Like it was said above - 13.5 psi caused the blower to overheat and the rotors to expand contacting the inside of the housing. The rotor expansion and severe overdrive (13.5psi) literaly "blew" the teflon coating off. The teflon flaking off is not that big of a deal, but the scoring on the rotor blades and scoring on the inside of the housing is a MAJOR problem.
One of previous engines that blower was on had some pretty bad Teflon and Aluminum debris pass through it.......

Yeah that supercharger is just fine........
You can run aluminum shavings through your motor then Falcon....
