i have a JDM 2nd gen B16a in a 00 EK;
mods:
ITR manifold, AEM CAI, 5zigen header, 2.5 carsound cat, 5zigen catback exhaust, CTR cams w/skunk2 gears, FPR
now i dynoed at 139whp and 99tq and i think thats **** if you ask me because i spent maybe 2k worth of **** and i see people here with stock b16s that have higher numbers than i do, wtf??? at the time i was still running on DX fuel pump, but can that really cause such a drastic loss in power??? oh by the way i run 15.2 at the track with full interior on street tires. i dont know if it matters, but my car was dynoed with the ones that "attach to the hub" unlike "wheels to rollers"

well....on my car( civic si b16a2....i/h/e)
the first few dynos were done on one day and the last run was done on a diff day...same exact mods temp and everything....they even retarded my timing a bit on the last run....the difference was that on the first day i left the silencer in ....let it sit..then while it was off reset the ecu and immediatly went on the dyno...thats when i hit the low runs....then the last run i went to the shop with the silencer in but when i took it out i ran the car on the street after i reset the ecu..then went to the dyno..thats when i improved 16hp from the first run...i dynoed once again after that with 1 ctr cam and i hit 170hp at autolink..i drove the whole way without the silencer in just so i would be sure it was ok....just a personal experiecnce of my fluxuating numbers

before i dynoed my car, i estimated and added up all the hp i would be getting from my parts and i had thought around at least 20-30 more hp, but thats not what happened, instead i find out that my motor barely meets the standard at 139

Definitely go with obd1 and have kenji make you an ECU... that made a world of difference on my b16a2. I have similar mods to you, my time is in my sig and its a heavier coupe.

im wondering if my fuel pump could have been the problem because i was running the DX sohc one when i dynoed, but now recently have put a b series pump in

i felt it when i put the new pump in, top end pulled alot harder. also i was using a DX fuel hose when dynoed and recently changed that with a bigger SI one as well and it too makes a difference

250 is pretty damn high, but anything above 200 in all cylinders is good.

Either you had a weak B16 before or adding all the bolt on's without knowing how they should be set has caused more harm than good. Your stock DX fuel pump should be fine for your mods. While it may be better to upgrade to a DOHC fuel pump it's not gonna make that much of a power drop in your car. I hit 151 hp with a I/H/E B16 on a stock 140k mile VX pump. Like he said do a compression check.

post the plot and the A/F so we can actually help you.
what the hell does "kind of tuned" mean anyway ?

b16's were never torque motors from the jump so dont everyone get all nervous. Your problem lies, like someone else said before, in the fact that you are using an ODB II computer and setup which is more restrictive. Change over and you should see your numbers looking more like everyone else.

I hate to tell you but 129whp is not the norm for a b16 with bolt-ons, it should be in the 150whp range, and if you paid $3500 for a b16 swap, I hope they used lube when they F**cked you.

. if i were you i would do a compresion test and a leak down test. sounds like your motor isnt up to par. just my $.02
