Default Turbo H22 CRX project Pt. 1

Here is some pics of one of my projects im working on right now. I know there is alot of questions on EF h22 swaps and it seems there is a couple of swaps on Here. These Pics are as of last week, since then the mounts are done and I started on all the plumbing for the Turbo stuff. Tell me what you guys think.
I am considering making some more mounts, I have a couple sets and got a jig for them if anyone is interested. The car side of the mounts is weld-in though and are going to be more adaptable than what you see here with the plates welded to the frame
Let me know what you guys think.
More pics here... http://www.speedapex.com/html/h22acrx.htm

I like the "air" core support.

Very nice.

How good are the axles going to line up with the hubs?

right now the car is slammed and the axles line up vertically but they are about 1/2" off horizontally, which is about as good as there are going to get. I raised the motor up alot to give it ground clearance and to try and keep the axles from binding as much as possible...
has to get a new hood obviously

nice work, It would be nice if you could post the exact position of the motor you ended up with
i.e. how many inches from the trany end to some reference point, same from the drivers side, and the firewall. And for the axels, how high the motor sits??
That would help us a lot!!!!!
Thanks in advance.

Sure i can do what I can to explain.

Right now everything has about an 1/2 inch of clearance on everything that is close.
The tranny is 1/2 and inch from the frame, the pulley is the same and the rear of the tranny is the same from the R. crossmember.
I notched the **** out of the frame near the pulley and the tranny.
The intake manifold has more room than i would like. I want to move the motor back about another inch and the Manifold would be on the firewall. But that wont happen.. i get some more pics of the position of it all...
check out the link at the top...

hey, nice project!
Let us know how you make out with the SSautochrome Mani.
I've heard some pretty nasty **** about it.
(bad welds, cracking, uncontrollable boost creep)
It looks so nice and is really affordable compared to most tubular mani's, i was just scared out of buying one.

update pics of the finished mounts....

so the motor is back into the car for good now after running into some clutch bullshit and waiting on a pressure plate. Got all the frame rail **** metal finished and cleaned up all the welds. Just FYI, i cut the **** out of the frame rails and welded 1/4" flat stock back in where it ws notched... I gaurentee this thing is stronger than it ever was

Now im working on the Turbo stuff.. I/C piping, downpipe, dumptube and plumbing.
This coming week we are going to have the axles cut and start on the wiring.
i'll post some more pics when i get all the turbo **** situated.

looks good man~! What axles are you running? I'm guessing that you had to swap 92+ hubs and run stock prelude axles as you would in an eg swap but i wasn't sure if they worked out width wise w/ stock halfshaft and all. I've though of this several times and if my friend would pull through for me i could score a Type SH front clip for dirt cheap and try my hand at this as well. Great work! clean mounts and fab work! Good luck with everything keep us updated!

I have no idea at this point... The motor was just put back in the car last night and i haven't had any time yet to mess with the axles...
I was just going to have some cut, but i dunno

thanks

holy **** this manifold is junk..
everything on it bolts up in the completly wrong place.. it puts the turbo almost up to the front bumper or I can turn it around and notch the **** out of the block...
The wastegate is wanting to dump right on the alternator... What a piece

I guess im going to have to make an adapter to put the wastegate somewhere else . I shoud just cut the whole collector off and redo it all
