I have the APEXi jdm gt spec header on my R.. it was two years ago almost when we put it on but i remember to gain at least 6 horsepower on the top end (this is with tuning on a semi built motor).. and we gained everywhere throughout the power band... since its a 4-2-1 header you get more mid range than overall top end power.. i like it a lot and have had no problems with this header..

 

Would you happen to know the dimensions of the JDM apexi header, I have the USDM spec dimensions (42.7mm-45mm-50.8mm)

I want to know if the JDM dimensions are bigger throughout the whole header, or just at the 50.8mm part, so maybe I could just cut that off and strap on a 2.5 inch collector

 

I'm prety sure the JDM version is 42.7mm-50.8mm-54mm

 

it is 45-50-60.5, same as toda

how is that possible? 54mm does not = 2.5

does anybody know where I could get my hands on a JDM apexi header? For GSR,B16 or whatever.

I just got mine a couple weeks ago. I think Apex keeps them in stock, so just ask an Apex dealer to call them up and ask.

I really like mine... quality is great. I had a normal GT header for one of my GSR hatches as well.

I just dynoed my car this weekend, but I don't have a base line to go off of for comparison.

The mods: AEM CAI, Apex JDM 2.5 GT header, carsound 2.5" hi-flow cat (which is a rip off cause it narrows to 2 1/4" in 2 seperate places), Apex N1 exhaust, no a/c, 90,xxx miles on the motor, and compression test of 195-197 on the cylinders netted me 176.9 whp and 123.2 wtq.

The powerband is really nice and smooth all the way up, the torque curve has two spikes in it, one at 4500 and the other at 6200.
