ZC tranny(s) for sale in Central Texas
Stock to stock, the Si and ZC trannys perform nearly the same.
The Si has a good gear ratio and great final drive
The ZC has a great gear ratio and good final drive
...making them about equal.
However, if you take what's great about both of them and put them together, it makes one fast tranny. The ZC 1-4 gears, the Si 5th gear and the Si final drive can even be put in the Si case, eliminating the need for a ZC intermediate shaft and use of your original Si axles.
So how fast? I would say moving from an Si to a hybrid has a similar increase experienced when switching from DX to Si. Definately makes more of an impression on the *** dyno than I/H/E.
I/H/E are great but they're worthless if your tranny is on it's last leg. A new tranny actually increases the value of your car.
I was looking to get $175 for the stock ZC tranny.
I'll ship but obviously it's your expense.
Ballpark: I've UPS'd a tranny for around $70 to either coast
I have three left
I'm in Austin, Texas
I won't sell a hybrid tranny without throwing a rebuild kit on it. While the ZC trannys are relatively low miles, most used Si trannys are in need of some kind of freshening up. If you supply the Si tranny, that will lower the price.
I can sell an out the door ZC/Si hybrid for $550
That's completely rebuilt, all new sychros bearings and seals, no core, simply buy it and put it in. You'll still have your old Si tranny...sell it to recoup some of the cost.
For a "new" performance tranny, that really is a good deal.
Depending on how we build it, we can eliminate the need for an intermediate shaft and you get to use your old axles.

so is that cost of the hybrid tranny (550) shipped? and also how much if i send you my si tranny to be part of the rebuild? email me at Thebadbee_88crx_si_zc@yahoo.com thanks Jay
I have two left.
They are "as is" but we can do something about that if you are so inclined.
You need to add shipping to the $550. Generally speaking...$75-100 for continental US
If you want to send in an Si tranny, the credit depends on it's condition and what year it is. Could be as little as $50 or as much as $120

For you local Texans...I'm willing to drive up to two hours in any direction from Austin
$175 is a helluva deal when you consider what they typically cost in Cali and add shipping to Texas...easily $250.
