LS turbo or H22a?
with price out of the picture, labor out of the picture, and reliability out of the picture......which would you prefer? Other opinions are open as well......b18c turbo maybe? thanx

Put it this way.... I used to have a turbo B20 setup (with GSR tranny.... was very fast with 11 lbs of boost) and then I swapped it out for a JDM H22A motor (LSD tranny.... was also very fast with a 100 shot of NOS). It's really a toss up. The turbo was very cool and fun, and sounded cool...... and nobody would ever mess with me on the road when they heard my turbo spool and saw the huge IC in the front
, and it pulled like crazy on the freeway. But it felt artificial and wasn't as "fun" as an all motor setup, which is what I missed so I swapped in a H22. It's really a matter of opinion on which is better.... it's all about what you really want and like to drive. Now I have a turbo B18 in my daily driver Integra, and a H22 in my new EK hatchback, so I get to still play with the best of both worlds
.
I know price, labor and reliability is out of yoru picture, but not mine!! hehe
an LS turbo is probaly going to cost more and harder to get tuned correctly. Overall if you do it right, it will make more power and be fast as h-ll.
I personaly would go with LS turbo

I think it depends on what car you are doing the swap in and what you are looking for. Of course turbo is fun to drive and feels good on the freeway but I would always go with N/A b4 turbo. I have a H22 in my ef and I would never trade it for a Ls turbo setup. Go N/A

I'm about to join Newman. I'm picking up a gorgeous 92 Accord Sedan with a JDM H22 this weekend (auto
) then doing an JDM LSD H22 tranny and leaving it alone.
Then I can get a b18b for my 95 Integra.. then I'm either going turbo b18b or a bored/built 2.0L b18b with big cams, 100 shot direct port. That part I havent decided yet, but it dosent matter right now. Either way, I get to have a fast/fun daily driver and a faster/more fun weekend car :D
