Default Installed the Tein S tech Springs

And I must say that this was by far a great investment. I was planning to get the full coilover system. actually the flex one. But I decided that at this point I just wanted a lil lower stance with basiclly the same ride quality. With the Tein s tech springs the ride to me is better than factory and the handling of these things is really unbelievebale considering this is just the spring with the factory strut. I will have pics up asap.

Gave me about 1.50-1.75 in the back and about the same in the front. Since the factory type r suspension has a small drop to begin with, the drop that you get from the springs is great. Pics will be up soon, trying to get my digi to work.

So do these springs make the ride more stiff or less stiff? And what do you mean by better ride? Have you taken these autocrossing or road racing? I want to know how these feel at the limit.

Also when at high speed did the car feel as planted as before?

I haven't not gone auto x or anything of that nature, but I know at high speeds they hold to the ground pretty damn well, taken turns, hard or soft, the spring hold up like a champ. when I say they ride better than factory, means in regular driving like around town whatever, there is no boucing back and fourth, or anytuing like that nice stiff, but comfortabel ride.

I'm not sure why people buy springs (critical piece of your overall suspension and car balance) without being knowledgeable about the rates. Did you buy them just for the lowering?

I wanted a spring that gave a nice lowered stance and at the same time rode close if not better to factory. I got what I wanted. I'm sure the rates can be found if researched.

Springrates for the S-Tech's are 335 / 274 or 6k / 4.9k for the more metrically inclined.

I agree Lee, the Tein springs do ride better and handle much better than your factory springs. Plus the car looks really good too being a little lower.
