New spot for gauges..just put them there. Pic
Been working on this all day. Almost done. And about not being able to see them while driving, I never look at these while driving anyway.
And I'm hooking up a button to switch the profec as well.
For nearly stock interior!

egt and oil pressure are both useless when not driving. Granted they are good for secrecy...if you don't look at them while under boost (which is near impossible considering location) they are useless.

but like to put junk in there.. sometiems i even put a really large drink in there since my cup holder wont hold it...so i stick it in there and it acts as a big cup holder..

Datalogger is much more useful than guages IMHO, especially one with a real time mode that can tell you when a problem starts immediately.
I built mine for around $45 in parts.. connects to a palm.

I sold an article upcoming in a projects magazine detailing how to do it..
Basically, it's just a atmel AVR microcontroller and some voltage buffers, and a serial cable to connect to the palm, with some connectors and headers thrown in. It's only 10-bit, I have 12 bit ADCs but they're more expensive. Once you have it electronic, you can set all the limits you want, and the palm is just velcroed to the dash. You can log, animate guages, etc. with the palm. I made it because when I'm lapping, I barely have time to check my tach, let alone anything else. I just want to know if **** is hitting the fan, and check averages after.
If there's any interest, I could do up a order of printed circuit boards. Another $10 in parts (DAC), and you have map control ala VAFC..
Clean install on the guages, too. I don't like the look of guages everywhere, and attracts attention from thieves and worse, the 5-0.

Nice.
but whats the point of having those gauges if you don't look at them while driving?
Thats a good place for the turbo timers and boost controller, because I bet you drive around with the lid closed anyways.

I assume your datalogger is universal, having voltage inputs? If you check out http://www.pgmfi.org, you can find how to make an obd0/1 datalogger for less than $20
Mine's going in shortly.
