Default power lock mod/ relocation. props to mugenGTR

took about 3 hours and 10 bucks....



helps prevent theives from thinking i have power locks which they MAY not try to get into my car. thanks minh

tapped into the brain of my alarm for the power locks and then just ran wires to the arm rest with some swtiches... one switch is for lock and the other is for unlock.

may i ask why u didnt use a 3 position switch? just curious as i am thinking about doing the same thing...looks good too and is very functional!

we had a VERY hard time looking for switches.... most of the ones we found were NORMALLY ON, MOMENTARY OFF... then the ones i got we found at OSH.. NORMALL OFF, MOMENTARY ON

I don't know about any of you guys, but I don't see a purpose to this mod. I don't see how this would prevent thieves from wanting to steal your car. Please explain.

just reduces the chances of a theif using a wire to lift the power lock switch by the door.

Again I still don't see the point of this mod. If I was a thief I'd just break the damn window. And from my experience with knowin of people's car's being stolen, thats what thieves always do.

i don't mind reaching over and unlocking the passenger door. plus i can just lock it by pushing the lock on my side and it automatically locks the other side. RS door bezels rock! nice mod btw.
