Re: (bottlefedb18c1)
How long have you been hittin that 100shot on a stock b18c1? I have a 95 GSR with a 50shot now,bu twhen I get a clutch i wanna up the shot. I've seen people run a 125shot on a stock bottom end, but I guess I lack the ***** to try it.

Re: (Lip)
I was there for a few of em jeff.
1.66 60 ft. stock gsr tranny and stock axles. 24.5x8.5 slicks. I have no idea how much power the car was making. Our guess was around 210-220.

Re: (simple4012)
http://forum.vwsport.com/dload...id=81 and proof of an open diff. listen to what i think is Dennis the Cop say..."only one wheell spun"
see the tranny in the back of the hatch? the half dollar size hole? that happened on this run but didn't break off yet against charlie. when we went to ATCO and pitted with one another it totally broke though in front of the skunk2 car during qualifying. At etown against charlie i thought it was an axle and or seal. i saw some tranny fluid and it appeared to be somewhere near the passenger side tranny axle seal(i thought). turned out to be a crack in the case that i just didn't see. Man i miss racing...just not the expense

Re: (Suprdave)
Dave...its a long horrible story.
a couple borrowed ones while mine was "suppose to be" being built and one cheaply bought one. Sadly i had to replace what i broke. the "built" one was never done...just sat there at some shop in pieces. Turned out the shop owner was using a tranny part of mine for his race car and thats why it wasn't touched. more to it...but yeah. a quaife would have been nice huh?

Re: (Lip)
I noticed Lip mentioned all the trannies he broke, how many of the rest of you broke a bunch of trannies trying to run on slicks and open diff? I noticed one person had a 1.668 that is sweet.

Re: (SIXTYdashONE)
This is very interesting. So many have been telling me how necessary Quaife will be.
