OK! this is what you do:

You know that having a carbon fiber hood is less weight on your car right? Well how about if you had no hood? Even less weight right?

Then get rid of your intake and let the throttle body suck as much air as possible. We have to let the butterfly fly.... Forget bout **** getting in your engine. Who gives a rat's *** huh? We're going the cheap way!

Gut your car all the way. Leave your Gauges, radio, speakers. You got to listen to something right? Gut your car all the way even the drives seat. Take a Lawn chair and duct tape the hell out of the chair to the car. As a seat belt use duct tape also.

Get rid of A/C, Power steering, even the altenator. Were just trying to make it Fast and Furious!! Get yellow stickers And bam! you are going to be doing a 10 second quarter mile! Badow!!!

Come on man, we live in the real world....

Advance your timing all the way and start losing weight. These cars can be fast, but it is far from the cheapest race car you'll find. YOur gonna have to drop some cash, the trick is knowing where top spend it to get your moneys worth.

Best money I spent was a pair of Azenis for the front tires $115 for the pair
And a nitrous kit $600

For under a grand you can go 13s, I did

Then work from there.

weight reduction, advance your timing, (both have already been mentioned) and if you really want, run an open header. Its loud as hell esp in VTEC not to mention illegal in (if caught ) but the last thing i can think of is take off your power steering belt. I only recomend the last thing if you have a good set of tire with stiff sidewalls. Parking lot speeds are hard but managable but once you get above 5-10mph you should be fine.

dude its not possible to add POWER w/o buying something, yeah maybe removing A/C and power steering and advancing the timing and octane of the fuel but come on now...seriously...how much would all that possible give you? not enough to make a difference...YOU NEED TO BUY STUFF TO GO FASTER...simple as that

K&N filter would be a good cheap mod, along with DIY intake using stock air cleaner box, in addition to 18 or so degrees BTDC timing and fresh spark plugs. Synthetic oil can add 1-2hp, too. All in all these things may net you 5hp, but doubt that they could give you 10, since these ponies are more synergistic than additive. Really, some things may just help you find lost power from stock ratings.

Also, spend $50 for an inductive timing light to do the job right. You'll need to jump your service connector inside passenger footwell w/ a half a paperclip while moving the distributor. You should have all accessories off and let the car idle 15 minutes first, though. You'll need a 12mm box end wrench and socket to move the bolts and a marker to note the new setting on the distributor and bracket.

got to agree with everyone else, you gotta spend some $$$ to get some results. it comes down to more money=more HP, how much you want and how much are you willing to spend?
