Come share in my misery (bent a Volk)
let me just show the pictures and tell the story afterwards.
i bent it on I-80 West in New Jersey (I HATE JERSEY) en route back to chicago. pothole was 3 feet wide and AT LEAST 3 feet deep if not more... a veritable crater. i was in the middle lane with cars on both sides, so there was no avoiding it. i'm lucky i didnt bend the rear rim, in fact. i actually drove on this wheel all the way back to chicago (800+ miles). go volk.
all things considered, i'm lucky i didnt get thrown into another car to the side (or that i didnt hit one trying to instinctively avoid it). i'm also impressed that the volk didnt crack, and held up all the way back to chicago.
here's what i'm rollin on until it gets fixed or replaced:
comments and/or mockery are welcome.

Yeah my friend hit one of those water pipe thingies. It kinda looks like a mini manhole. Anyways he got $450 for a GSR rim. Just report it as soon as possible. Also what the hell happend to your rear vallence.

my rear valence got knocked off from the impact
there's a hairline crack in it, but no biggie.

as someone else said, yeah i'm surprised that the rim took the damage so well, and that it didnt crack, AND it kept me going all the way back to chicago.
for forged rims. if i was rolling rotas they would have been cracked in two... this was one sick pothole.
