you gained 37 hp off some spec-d's and a header.

11-1 compression is not really enough to pull the power outa those cams.

its not making sense....

ls/vtec
ls crank knife edged
85 mm custom je piston
eagle rods
64 mm tb
itr manifold port matched 2 head
5 angle valve job + pnp
310cc rc injectors
the cams worked awesome on this motor as did the header. if i knew how 2 post dyno charts, i would

do we get to see the dyno today?

As soon as my car is up and running, im going to get my friends: smsp, hytech, headertech and whoever else wants to donate a header for a header shootout.

im welcome to testing the ones ftr11secAM has to see how they do against the big boys.

and i will be doing a light tune with hondata on each one

edit: but my car isnt ever running right now, so it will at least be another 2 weeks before i start to plan for it

Shouldn't you retune for each header? We've done some header testing on race cars and two similar looking headers can require dramatically different tunes (and often arrive at similar power numbers).

not only tune a/f but cam gears can make a difference as well.

somepeople might think he could have done a better job tuning his header, and just richened the hell out of the ericks header.

people just need to have trust

i never knew the oil pump broke till i pulled it apart because it spun a bearing due 2 the pump breaking
as far as the dyno #'s-jeff(import builders) dynoed it late night and he was in a hurry 2 get out of the shop so i dont think he put in 100% effort when it was on the dc

It isn't a matter of trust, he said no changes were made. Without tuning for each header, its hard to draw a conclusion.

most people want to see back to back comparisons on a tuned motor ... but next time we will try to maximize the power output for each header and see what we come up with. how ever custom race headers are built for custom applications.. and i know that one header that may work for one combination will not always work for the next. like in our case
