Default Paint chipping in engine bay (pics inside)

Today, I noticed some chipping on my shock towers. Here are the pics. Current set-up is: Stock rim w/205/50/15 Falken Azenis, Zeal B6 Hard Setup (F:12K R:7K)

Does anyone have any idea why this may be happening? I also checked with another '01 R and he is experiencing the same issue. From what I can see, there is nothing which could be rubbing against the paint to chip it.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Here are the pics.

The gap between the tire and body is actually 1/2 inch or so.

Turbospool is right. I have the same problem. It happened from bottoming out. The upper A arm reached the shock tower and dents it.

Sorry, I posted this just before I went to bed. I do have a camber kit. Skunk2 and my camber settings are stock, I believe it's -0.5

Is that due to the type of camber kit, or would another camber kit remedy this problem? Would the upper control arm bottoming out cause undue stress in the long run? Do I need to raise the car up a little to avoid this happening?

Many thanks guys!!

Your ride height is set too low. Raise your ride height and/or your spring rates!
Did you remove the bump stops? If so, put them back in!

How much to raise? Depends. With higher rates, you may not have to raise it. With the same rates, just raise it until the UCAs stop smacking your towers.

or you can wait until they dent through your wheel well and just reweld it, thats what i did. All camber kits does this if its set to maximum correction. im set at 4 degrees of correction (max for skunk2 kit).

I've seen the same problem on two integras, one with a skunk2 camber kit, the other with an ingalls...........

I've seen the problem on other civics and integras that are too low so I will just reitterate what was asid above.

Also the stiff setup on the B6's is 12/8. I would not stiffen the front's. I have B6's with 10's on the front and the skunk camber kit and I do not have this problem. I can cjheck my notebook when i get hoime for numbers but I always measure from floor to jack point.

i'd raise it up a little and drive on the streets with the front shocks at setting 3 or higher. This is more likely going to help than raising it although it won't hurt.

So, driving on 1 or 2 isn't the best idea eh? me = What can I say, ignorance is bliss. Thanks for the advice and measurments when you get them. Your a big help.
