Ran at the track here in Albuquerque, New Mexico 13.82 @ 96.5 mph at 5600 ft elevation.

 

Which mounting kit you use, place racing?

 

yea place racing but had to weld the tranny mount for extra strenth due us seeing them break at events.

 

dam nice times. are you running the stock h 22? with slicks right?

 

is that **** daily driven?!?...its on slicks and ****..wonder how that would look

 

Yea Stock With a little help from Phaton grip LSD and aftermarket clutch, stock header and modified exhaust oh and honddata with rev limiter.

 

Just came out garage for picture but cruz around town on 17 inch ROJA.

It doesn't look like the windows are Lexan. Nice setup. I never liked the H22 in a hatch but I saw one run a turbo Miata. This guy had the H22 in a gutted DX hatch. Him and the turbo Miata couldn't leave each other after 2nd gear. It was amazing. I more point for the Honda camp.

I'd be careful with the Phantom Slip diff. they tend to destroy the spider gears in your diff, which then sends metal shards and shavings into the rest of the tranny, which usually results in the need for a total rebuild or replacement.

I've seen it happen to one of my friends TWICE and on a few other local cars here in GA. Also seen stories about it happeneing here on H-T as well.

13.8 on what type of slicks? The ones pictured? Damn that's pretty good considering that high-*** elevation. Got any "corrected" figures?

Did you weight the car?

Yea those are lexan windows made them myself paid $100.00 for a 4x8 sheet wasn't to hard just time and alot of sanding.

Well Janice At Phantom Grip promised it wouldn't break they installed it for me. Pretty cool company and they also sponsored my friends 91 crx (H22A inside) and gave free upgrades for the kit.

I never understood wat this meant, can someone explain it to me .

BTW that car looks hot.....i love seeing those huge h22's in civics....they just look mean.

What he means is that..Some tracks are higher above sea level than others, the higher you go, the slower your time is. What he means by "corrected" is what the time would be at sea level.

Can someone please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks

 

http://www.motorsport-depot.com/dyno.shtml places him at 12.7 at sealevel. Not sure if it's accurate tho, I just did a quick search and that's the first thing I came up with.


By the way, how hard was the swap? Is maintence on it gonna be easy?

Yeah i know that part BUT why is there a difference between higher and lower elevations. I know the higher u go the less air u get. and how do you go about correcting it? sorry for my ignorance

There ya go. Unless you have a FI of some sort, you will get less air into your engine at higher elevation.

 

Did the swap in two days with a lift it was easiest putt the motor from the bottom end so we wouldn't have to tilt that beast. The maintance on it is been pretty easy so far i'll let u know.

even with FI you get less air then you would at sea level... as you go higher oxygen is less dense in the air... so say at sea level 70% of the "air" you car sucks in is actually usable oxygen.... at 10000 feet it may be more like 55-65% oxygen... (these are made up for the sake of example)

that give less reactants in the same amount of space regardless of forced induction or natural.

*edit* SWEET HATCH DUDE... How is the driving in it... i've heard all sorts of contradicting things... like it makes it all squirelly... is this what you've experienced? and if so do you think it's just the amount of power or the way it's applied to the chassis?*/edit*
