Probably because there is still some gas in there and the pump stops so you won't overflow the tank ya know? I ususally don't let it get that empty though.

my gauge never hits F when i fill it all the way up. When the light goes on, I usually only fill up ~8 gallons. My guess would be the floater/leveler thing inside the tank is not all that accurate or is messed up.

Wouldn't the gallon amuont that an integra can hold wouldn't that be counting the resivoir? Doesn't it hold 2 gallons or something?
