s2000 or 350Z
I am on the edge of getting a job and as soon as I get it I know where I am going to put my money; a new car that is! I am trying to decide between a honda s2000 or a nissan 350Z. So far I can't decide because two of these cars are so close together when stock. The only difference is the price: for $23k I can get a 00 s2k, where a reasonable (enthusiast) model will cost me at least $29K if I go with a 350Z. What's your thought? Thanks!
this topic has been covered numerous times. go to http://www.s2ki.com and search, i promise you will find atleast 10 threads about this topic.
just to make it short:
i was looking at the 350z, s2000 and a couple others when i was in teh market for a new car(in february) and the s2000 won my heart. it is by far the most exciting and perfect car IMO. just test drive them both and see what you like.

These are two totally different cars and are not close together. Open top pure roadster vs. Fixed roof coupe. Drive both and then make your decision. But may I add this...wait till 04 if you decide to buy a 350Z that way some of the 1st year kinks will be worked out (like the alignment problems which have caused tire wear problems etc).

ya, this has been covered a lot, and no matter what anyone says there's bound to be some flaming. Anyway, I'd take the s2000 and a severe beating before I chose a 350z, but thats just me. I would spit out numbers and reasons, but that can be found on all the other threads.
s2000 gets my vote. id much prefer an s2000 w/ a hardtop, rather than a 350. i have personally ran a couple of 350, and seeing them in my rearview mirror isnt a pleasant view.

Either way I believe your gonna be happy with either car.. both cars are well built but one year makes a difference especially when the Z will probably improve in the suspension n alignment dept. n also the S wit its new I-VTEC Gem...\
Good luck n happy V8 hunting....

i started one of the threads on S2Ki and got tons of responses. Most people don't compare because they say that they are different cars, and that is true, but I had those compared. I test drove the 350 and liked the torque, but that was about it. The acceleration was good, but the S suited me a lot better. As far as looks go, I think it takes a little more to make a 350 look aggresive and a lot of de-badging. I also don't like first year cars or first year updates.
