Default My new Cheap Lightweight rims! Rota Subzero's

For those who care...
EDIT: I'm NOT SELLING THESE...if you like them go to http://www.machiii.net and GET YOUR OWN!!

Yes they are 12 llbs each, crappy bathroom scale says 13 in pic, but the spec's say 12. Yes they are 15's...yes they have Potenza 730 205/50/15 on them.

$400 bucks for all 4.

Color is anthercite, for more info on where I got them from check out http://www.machiii.net

They are actually not black, but look lighter in real life.

I like 'em! Car handles better, and yes, I'm into offroading ...comptech springs arrive monday...can't wait to loose the 4x4 look

Pic's should work, try right clicking or refreshing...RIT server is being bitchy...

$400 shipped? That's a good deal for wheels that light. I may have to get those instead of the Kosei K1's. How was the customer service from that shop?

How strong are they? I've heard a couple of stories of people whose Rotas broke (spokes literally came apart from the wheel); the pictures weren't pretty.

Gee how nice of you to say. Hey 2kgsboi I think your car looks like ****! Not too nice huh. I think they look good dude and remember function over form. All wheels will break just ont take a thinwall lightweight wheel through hell and expect it to survive. My Racing harts ar 9lbs each and I have not had a single problem.

Those rims looks WICKED, although I would also recommend painting your moldings.

Yeah those were ADR Spyders...my C8s have been through horrible potholes in Philly and DC and have held up WONDERFULLY.

Also, Walee at MachIII gave me terrific service as well...GREAT shop with great service.

I have Rota C8s (Damn I wish they were anthracite ). For the price, the weight is tough (impossible) to beat. If they hold up, so much the better.

As for looks, it doesn't matter what other people think unless you care I happen to LOVE dark wheels. Damn, I may need to powdercoat mine or something...

Take care,

Thanks for the comments, well, first off, it's the ADR spiders that broke and I've heard nothing but good things about the Rota's.

They have a +40mm offset, come in silver, flat black maybe some other colors check the website. Same price on all colors

The rota C8's come in the exact same color also now.

the flat black strips on the side help to deflect cones!

Yeah I know it needs to be dropped, but I dont really care about the black stripes on the side, I'm totally function over form...if it doesn't make me go faster or handle better....screw it!

Service was awsome from Walee at MachIII and shipping took about 5-6 days.

Oh yeah the powerslots kick ***, they were a gift from a crazy auto-x'er like my self (thx owen!)

looks REAL good champ!
I wonder if you can drift a sideways finish on those wheels! hahahahaaaaaa!
anyhow, they are sweet in person, very nice finish, a deep metal flake gunmetal...
good thing you went with 15's because you'll be keeping cost and weight down to a minimum...

hells yeah Machiii is hookin' people up!
AND quick service to us East Coasters as well even though we arent in Machii's area (Cali!)

that miata-based site wants $525 I though for the same wheels?!?!??!

That's the DFH way

Instead of paying to get my rotas powdercoated, I'll just let the brake dust build up.

Take care,

Just so you know, rotas are made in the philippines and they've been around for a while. They've been used for all types of racing including rally. So strength isn't an issue with them. I have 16" C8s

How strong are they? I've heard a couple of stories of people whose Rotas broke (spokes literally came apart from the wheel); the pictures weren't pretty.

Did you notice any differance from using the lightweight rims? Acceleration? Handling? Steering?
