95 and up right??

5th gen v6-pos engine, ZERO working space.(I have a legend myself)
out run by ex 5speed at quarter miles

6th gen-200 pony, auto tranny(alot of permature failure due to design flaw)

7th gen-240 with stick(coupe only) 6 speed+ more torque but due to new design, harder to modify(for now, I am sure there will be more stuff for it)

hows the low end and torque on the 95 v6's? are they really slower in the 1/4 mile vs a 5spd ex?

5th gen V6 is only like 170hp I believe and do lose to 5th EX manual i4s. Insufficient power to pull the weight of the car is a complaint that I heard. The 2003+ WILL definitely be better to mod due to manual tranny, hotter cams, freer flowing intake manifold, etc. Honda made the 7th to definitely be a performance monster vs 6th. I know of 6spd Accords taking Z350 autos.

what I cannot understand is why everyone thinks that the accorf 5th gen V6 is crap.....take a look at the american cars at the time and you will see that

1. Honda has less displacement while making more HP GM cars of that time 3.1L maybe 165HP at the most typically 140 HP. FOrd 3.0L 140HP Chrysler 3.0L 140HP. the only engine that comes to mind as being more powerful in the 3.0L range would would the the SHO engine Chrysler 3.5L was just as potent as the SHO but required an extra .5L to make power (not bad for their first attempt at a modern high output V6)

IF you want a quiet car that does not sound like a bee's nest at 70+mph, get the V6 comared to the american cars...well lets just say that there is no comparison.....

I'd rather get a 5th gen V6 Accord than a V6 domestic of the same years.
