50 bucks !! what kind of insurance do you have ? i have a 98 hatch and i pay like 2000 a year, i am 17 with no accidents and a good student discount and my parents are good drivers too, i have to split have my insurance bill with my parents, so the cheaper i can get it the better !
I'm 21 paying about $1100 every six months for an s2k and a Civic with my wife (23). No on record tickets, one on record injury accident for me, 2 non-injury for my wife. That should go down though once I get my Odyssey and take my Civic off the street
lots of ways the rate could be low.
coverages... homeowners tied in, additional vehicles, under parents, other insurance mixed in.
$600 for a year on an s2000 is a very good rate...but again, many factors contribute to insurance, so i'm sure there are other factors.

Yeah but 50 bucks sounds too cheap. I'm 22 with a PERFECT record and I'm still paying over 100 a month for mine (that's after shopping around). If you really have it for 50 prove it to me so I can call your agent and have him sign me up!
Damn i pay $1200 every 6 monthes and i thought i was gettin a good deal... I have 5 cars, a buisness, and a house on this plan. Do you guys think I should be getting a better rate? OH by the way i'm with statefarm... Please post if think I should call and try to find another rate w/ the amount of stuff i'm insureing.
yeah i understand, but i was trying to guage what it could be. i pay 100 a month for full coverage on a 95 gsr. i am trying to estimate how much it were to go up. hopefully it wouldn't go up more the $50 a month

Zip code, driving record, criminal record, years driving, years with a license, the number of folks in your house, how long you have lived there, whether or not you rent or own, and even at that whether it's a house or condo, what your job is, how long you have had your job, your credit, in some cases the credit of those who live with you, how many miles you put on the car, where the car is stored, what the car is used for, whether their is a lein on the car (leased, loan etc), when you purchased the car ... etc etc, these are but a few of the MANY factors used to determine how much you will pay.
I assure you that knowing someone ... even the president of Progressive will not get you jack ******* **** in savings. For the most part all of the above is computerized .. and it's scary how much of it is available so easily ...
That said, I insure a couple of my cars Missouri as opposed to Colorado ... for about half the price.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Very true...I can't wait to turn 25 and get married so mine will drop. Till then I'll be paying 160 or more a month. What really sucks is they won't let me list my S as a sunday driver until I turn 25. Instead they made my nissan truck my secondary car. Insurance companies will try to screw you anyway they can!

thought i would give an update on my insurance quote i just got. 1488/yr or 124/month
not as bad as i thought it would be. i was thinking that it would be in the range of 200/month
also got a quote on a wrx. 1217/yr or 101/month. also nlot as bad as i was thinking.
now i just have to decide wether i want to get a wrx or s2k. i am leaning towards the s2k, but the wrx is a 1/4 mile monster with just a little bit of extra cash. however, i am not sure of the reliability of a subaru. i know that the s2k will run until im 80. i am going to go test drive both a wrx and s2k this weekend and i will let you guys know how everything goes.

I think if you drive the car the distance down and up your driveway once a year then that would probably explain the low cost.
I just called my insurance company and they said about $100 a month when I take delivery in two weeks
! I CAN"T WAIT!!!!!!!
