itr intake manifold for gsr??
I was wondering if the itr intake manifold will bolt up to a gsr head. I was going to get the skunk2 one but heard that it just kills your low end power. My car is going to be all motor so i am thinking one of these to would be the best choice.
itr manifold won't fit without some hefty modification.
the skunk2 fits okay...you'll have to reroute a line or two and the install is a bit of a pain.
with the Skunk2 you will lose power on a stock motor in certain parts of the rpm range. you'll make the power right back after you drop in some cams and tune a bit.

I have an ITR manifold on my GSR head, it did require quite a bit of work to get it to fit. Had to redrill all but 1 hole i believe, and also had to cut off one end of the flange so i could run the coolant line as they do not line up. BTW i did this before Skunk2 came out with their manifold. I would definately buy the skunk2 over modifying and ITR one today.
As for losing mid range power, you lose it on the ITR manifold as well. The skunk2 manifold is almost an exact copy. In order to make the power up you will need ITR cams or some other form of modification.
I'd buy cams before I would upgrade to the skunk2 manifold.

From what I understand there are better intake manifolds out there for FI than the skunk2.
I would also recomend raising your vtec crossover if you decide to go with the skunk2.
