FS: 1993 JDM GS-R 5 bolt FBP delSol
1993 Del Sol S model. The car was originally stock black, but has been repainted (less then a year ago) Flamenco Black Pearl (1999-2000 Civic Si black). Has a few dings here and there, but pictures show all. This car is a sleeper. Aside from the 2000 Integra Type R wheels, with matching suspension, you would not be able to tell this car was anything but a 16 second grocery getter. Unfortunatly for the driver who confuses you with such, this car will defy your expectations.
Equipped with a 1994 JDM B18C (Integra SiR-G motor) with 178 from the factory horsepower, mated to a JDM delsol VTEC transmission (w/ OEM LSD of course), this sol moves. I had an Integra Type R transmission, yet switched to the delsol vtec tranny due to steeper gearing in 1st-3rd gears. With the current transmission you have 3 incredible power gears which balance acceleration with moderately long gears, yet you can cruise highway without burning alot of gas. (VTEC only engages at 105mph in 5th gear)
If only the motor swap was enough to satisfy me. Other modifications include 2000 Integra Type R (USDM so there's no axel problems) Suspension w/ OEM 15's gunmetal wheels. Don't be fooled by typical "5 lug" conversions, this one is complete, most notably the Rear LCA (lower control Arm) which allows you to run many of the JDM sways bars as well as Tein Coilover setups. Aside from a stiffer feel and better handling, the ITR conversion offers 11.1" front brakes, so this car stops on a dime.
Well, instead of boring you with more talk, heres the modlist:
AEM CAI (cold air intake) for 1999-2000 Si
DC sports 4-1 Header for GS-R
Test Pipe (Have stock cat)
Skunk2 Intake manifold
B & M silver Fuel Pressure Regulator
OEM GSR double Size radiator
2000 Civic Si muffler with chrome tip removed (sleeper remember)
NGK Blue plug wires for GS-R
Denso Iradium Spark plugs
OEM Civic Type R Crank pulley (1.75 lbs as opposed to 10lbs stock)
ACT Extreme Pressure plate
ACT 6 puck race Disc (1000 miles old, if that)
Xact Prolite Flywheel (8.8lbs as opposed to stock of 18 lbs)
Spoon Copy Front upper Strut Bar
Apexi VAFC (in great condition)
USDM (no speed limiter or warmup kickdown) p72
(stock GS-R ECU Chipped to any spec
Kenwood Indash manual flipdown Cd player
6.5" JL audio door speakers
OEM Mint condition Integra Type R Shift boot
GS-R floor mats (will throw in the rear ones if u want)
With all the mods listed above the car is incredibly fast. I have a safe redline of 8500 rpm (unless u ask me to write a new chip for it) and the recent compression test yielded 210 psi (exactly) across all four cylinders. 2000-2500 mile oil changes with only Mobil 10w-30 and Spoon/Honda HAMP filters (green). The entire drive-train has 45k or less miles on it, and i have the receipts from hondamotorsonline.com from where the motor was purchased. I have owned the motor for over a year, and i love it so much, i took it out of my old car to put it into my new one. This car weighs in at 2380 lbs (pic at weigh station included). With approximately 200 flywheel hp (conservative guess after all modifications) the power to weight ratio is incredible.
I built this car to be a reliable daily driver (which it is), and to be a once and awhile killer. It takes lightly modded Integra Type Rs with ease (vid included) and it dusted a newer Audi a4 Vids included. Since i barely race it, these are the only videos i have.
For an additional $400 you can have the already run Brand new Zex nitrous kit with liquid filled pressure gauge and bottle warmer. The 4th video on the attached site shows a 1st-mid3rd race against a 1999 Mustang GT 5 speed with borla exhaust, optional 3.27 rear end, and a very skilled driver. The mustang has over 300 ft/lbs of torque, so naturally, he beats me off the line. Unfortunatly for him, by mid 2nd gear i blow past him and he taps the brakes. I only jet a 55 shot, and i have only used 2 bottles. I do regular compression and spark plug checks to ensure my motor continues to operate 100% correctly. With the Nitrous kit, this is a 13 second car. That style mustang is a low, low 14 second car, and i passed him no problem by second gear. If the video is not sufficient proof, simply add up the swap, the mods, the low weight, and the addition of 55 hp (Should u chose to only jet that much), and even with a poor driver, you'd have trouble not running an incredible time.
I hope my honesty in the cars description indicates the kind of person i am, because every swapped Honda was made to race, and if the driver says otherwise, its simply a lie. I do race every once and awhile, but since i built this myself from the wheels up, i value my car and do not want to abuse it past a safe amount. I do not want to sell this car, but im am forced to due to school tuition increasing to near 38k a year. Please give my baby a good home. This is perhaps the cleanest swap i ever did, and it shows. Get ready to destroy other hybrids and make v8s sh*t when your daily driven 30 mpg reliable 4 cylinder Honda walks them.
The car has a small hood dent from the previous owner closing it with a rubber mallet under the hood, nothing horrible, but u can see it when the car is in direct sunlight and u look within 2 feet of the car. Paint is in good shape, and there's no rust/rot to talk of. Has a clean title, and no known accidents. Chassis millage is 173k, but since the entire drive-train, suspension (which has 20k on it) and paint has been replaced, the only way to tell is the odometer.
$8k w/o juice
