what does itr and s2000 have in common?
before going to personal likes/dislikes, i find it fair to compare by category first..
by category:
- itr was designed to compete with sport 'compact car' market - done
- s2000 - designed to compete with other 'roadsters', like boxter, m benz.. whatever other roadsters are out there.. 350z?

Hes probably wants to stick to his honda heritage but wants something with good performance. The biggest thing those two cars share are they are performance automobiles so I guess hes asking as far as performance. It depends what your driving style is and what you want to accomplish. Personnaly I would go with the S2K because I would like to learn how to drive RWD cars. Plus every one else said the ITR so i say the S2K. Good luck on what ever you buy cause they are both awesome vehicles.

The R to me still #1 Rawness in Performance but not safe leaving it outside.
My friend S2k and I test drove dealer's one seems lot more civilized unless u really get on it. Its not a practical car if this is going to be your only ride but its safe one leaving it on the street.
If you live in an area where it's warm most of the year for riding with the top down, and you have another car to do your errands/hauling **** in... ******* S2000 all the way. If it didn't snow half the year here I'd never have bought an R
Well I am going to try and shed some of my experience. I currently owned an 01 PY R. I traded it in on a Brand New 03 Spa Yellow S2000. I have been looking for another R and my S currently only has 1400 miles on it. I got rid of the R because I was scared of theft and that was the only reason. I do have a beater but it is a pile of poo. I thought that I could be the guy who just drove a nice car and did not mod it, I WAS WRONG. I really miss my R and am in search of a replacement. So if it was up to me I would go with the R all the way. It is in my opinion the best and most balanced car I have ever driven in my life, Honda rules.
Ill have to say S2000 just because of theft reasons.
ITR is a great car! dont get me wrong here. But unless you plan to drop your life, and guard it...expect it stolen, or something happen to it
