Default ATI procharger puts out some power

my buddy and i just put a ati procharger on his civic si, and let me tell you what, that car moves. it only took us 8 hours to put this thing on, it was pretty easy. the hardest thing was trying to put the front bumper on because the intercooler piping was in the way. for how easy it was to put this thing on, it pushes some power.

thats the only thing he has on his car, everything else is stock. if anyone wants to do a supercharger i would recommend this one.

just thought i would tell u guys about it, if you didnt hear anything about them yet.

If you call ATI, ask for Dorian, he's the man when it comes to the import stuff there. They have done that 350Z kit which is dope as hell. They did the JIC's (japanese suspension co.) 350Z along with the one pictured on the site.

Ati is very well known in the mustang comunity. They are very well built superchargers and all selfcontained.. (no oil lines) In most cases they will make more power than vortech and they use a frount mount air to air intercooler.

I've read up on these things. They are a very good design. The front mount is a BIG + as well. The charger is situated in such a way that the piping for the fmic is very short and does the job well to minimize slugginess when it comes to throttle responce. If anyone out there has an Si and doesn't want to go turbo... this is a much better solution then a JR. <- And this is comming from someone with a JRSC...

They had a booth with a blue Si at November's SEMA show...

The charger is actually mounted down where the a/c usually is.

I don't know if it just MOVES the a/c compressor, or what, but it was a really nice setup, and I've heard REDICULOUS power figures... like 250 WHP with a stock engine with this kit.

Lemme dig up the pics....

Hmmm. Only snapped one, and it's not great...

Big Pic Here (Right click/Copy/Paste link to open)

I guess I was a little preoccupied with their Z06 'Vette kit...

Yeah lets see the dyno chart. How will the power be down low? So your saying its faster than your sc Type R?

It's a BIG compressor. I'm sure it'll make 15-18 pounds on a B series before going the way of the hairdryer. (blowing hot air)

i'm only running 5.5 lbs of boost right now, and he's running 10lbs of boost, i didn't race him yet, but i'd bet he'd be right next to me, if not beat me

cause 10lbs on a stock b16 should outrun 5.5lbs on a C5

I have a JR supercharger, but i have other modifications done than just that, kamikaze header 2.5 in, no cat, and Thermal R&D exhaust, which all of that helped alot, plus a couple other things. he dosnt have anything. my boost gauge reads about 6 maybe 6.5 sometimes

Yeah, i never had it tuned in yet, i just threw the charger on there, didnt adjust my timing or nothin, just raised the fuel pressure a little, and it was dynoed at a little over 210 whp before i put the header, test pipe, and map controller on. Not sure where it would be now? Thats when my boost gauge was reading 5.5 lbs of boost. Now it went up a little since i put the stuff on
