Silverstars... Slight difference from stock [56k - 1 Large pic. The rest are linked]
I just though id share.
I had a couple of bulbs laying around that i had bought from Walmart a while back. I returned these and got the Silverstars for about $30. Im not going to get all technical with beam patterns and whatever but there IS a difference between the bulbs. I like them mainly because they produce a white light, not blue.

yup. i agree.
for anyone looking for an alternative to spending 500 on an hid kit i recommend the silverstars. they arent the bling bling that everyone raves about but in the end, its just headlights.

look for the 9003 bulbs. I couldnt find them anywhere for a long time. I just assumed they didnt make the ss for h4/9003 applications. But alas i was in the auto section picking up some oil and found them.

The Silverstars are great: my brother had them on his hatch before he got HID's from an S2000. Let's make no mistake, though: There is absolutely no comparison between true HID's and any other type of filament-discharge or inert-gas-discharge lightbulb. HID's make the Silverstars look like lowbeam foglights.
Nice, I also use Silverstars in my Accord, because they are brighter and they are just nice and white, I love mine and won't ever use any other type of bulb again. Also you can get them at AutoZone around my neck of the woods, but I don't know if you guys have them where you are from.

Are ppl saying that the bulbs are just blowing out of no where?
Arch:
Definitely not saying they are comparable. Just that its all headlights in the end.

i had a bad experience with silverstars. i bought some from checkers and one actually ****** exploded. and no i didnt touch it. so i got a set of rice-blue nokyas for like 10 bucks and they seemed pretty bright.
recently i swapped them out for the stock bulbs to drive through waikiki and i noticed that i could see just as well, so i haven't changed them back. my $20 walmart projector foglights are like twice as bright as my headlights with any bulb.

If your talking about when they are off in the daytime and you look into your headlight housing, there is just a tiny, tiny hint of light blue. When they light up at night, there is no blue.
