Damn....14.5 with just bolts ons??? You have a really really strong motor or something is not right here... Even in a stripped hatchy...14.5 seems really fast to me

that's totally feasible with a CX hatch with no spare tire or rear seat.

I ran a 15.5 in my 94 Si when it only had intake and exhaust, and only the spare tire removed.

I don't see what everybody has to downplay the D16Z6 like it's not supposed to have quick times....

i'm not its just that i've never seen a 5th gen run better than low 15's with the z6 and not being gutted. i think the sohc's are great to build thats why i have stuck with the d-series.

I have a friend who ran a 15.0 in a VX, totally stock motor, no bolt-ons at all, with all interior and system, on street tires.

I havent ran my heavy *** '93 Si yet at a 1/4 mile track, only in the 1/8th. My time is in my sig. I-H-E and clutch. I think it equates to somewhere in the mid-high 15's.

what do think about me putting a turbo on my d16? i need to rebuild the engine cos rings and stem seals are bad! or b18c5 and then eventually build that up? I want to build a real 1/4 mile monster that i can still use on the street!

They are GOOD engines. Theyll pull on Si coupes all day long.

I ran a 15.7 @ 89 MPH in a stock 92 Si HB, full interior, 180,000 miles on the engine, lol.

First time, I ran a 15.5 with a DX (D15B7). Gutted. Stock tires.

So a 14.5 with a Z6 seems feasable.

AGREED. Something's not right here. I ran a mofocken best of 16.4 and I had no spare tire or rear seats in a 92 SI Hatch! Only mod was new catalytic converter and full catback exhaust. No focken way a 14.5 homey. I'm calling BS till I see the timeslip yahurd.
