I've put off posting this for a while for fear of jinxing myself, but my car is back and running as of last week. New piston rings were the fix. I still need to get more miles to break it in properly before I can romp on it.
This weekend will be a practice with all the new stuff. The site will be at Bremerton where the NT will be the following week. My new wheels (13x7) arrived today so I'll have to swap the Hoosiers over from my other set (13x8). I've chosen to run STR this time to hopefully be more compeditive (on a national level), but unfortunately, I've had to re-do a few things. Removing the clutch, flywheel and ordering smaller wheels to name a few.
This is getting expensive.
Anyone planning to make the trip to Bremerton for the NT?

I'm actually keeping them. They're custom made by Wilammette Wheel with a 5" backspace. They're made of thin lightweight stock, so each wheel is about 9-10lbs. The best part is that they're only $52 each. Feel free to give them a call at 503-232-8141. Several of us up here use them. Here's a picture.

JohnG,
Good job guy!! Hope your test is good and you kick *** at the NT. Monroe was a total clusterf@ck!! Raining most of the time, poor turnout and I got nailed by a Miata to the tune of at least 3 grand!!! And it was in PRACTICE! I was bummed but pried it away from the wheel and taped it up and qualified 4th. Managed to get 2nd overall and I set fastest race lap which is a first for me. I will probably skip Bremerton on August 12th and get my car ready for the Molson Indy. I think that I have alredy locked up the Regional T2 title (just by showing up) .

Man....sorry to hear about the damage. Congratulations on the finish and fast lap though! Glad you were able to bounce back and have a good showing.

Wow, 9-10 lbs for a $52 wheel??? How do they compare with Diamond wheels? I have a set of 13 x 9's from Diamond and they weigh in close to 15 lbs.

Well....they're cheaper and lighter based on the specs you listed.
They also use OE Honda centers. It's gotta be the best deal going from what I've researched. I think they said anything wider than 7" has to be the lightweight material, therefore they can't be used for road race applications, only autocross. The regular road race wheels are about 17 lbs for 13's and cost the same.
I'll put it to you like this, the bill I just received was $251.80 total for all four, including the $22.20 for shipping. And no, I'm not on their payroll.

Not sure about the drag racing thing. The heavier wheels would most likely work. They're in Portland OR. Give them a shout and see. It's worth a try. Stock lugs and studs. I'll have to measure stock wheels again, but the backspacing is the same. All the additional width is "outboard".

How do these compare to the weight of tbogarts....I have a friend who has a set and they are extremely light....a lot lighter than his other set of slicks i think the others mite be keiser...
I've seen somewhere posted the bogarts are around 10lbs...however my friends bogarts with slicks felt like they were only around 15lbs.... so does anyone have a clue???

I used to have a set of Bogart rims for my slicks. They are about 7-8 lbs. However they run about $350 a rim. Way to much for me to pay again. You can find them on some of the classified boards for sale privately for less.

Okay....NOW I'm back. Never try to force your injectors into the fuel rail. You'll take a shower in gas. Ask me how I know.....
Glad you asked
I had a small fuel leak from the #3 injector. I pulled it to find a cut upper o-ring. I replaced it and had a hard time getting it back into the fuel rail. So I just lined everything up and tightened the rail back down with the nuts. "That'll seat 'em".
I go to re-fire the car, and a HUGE shower of gas comes spraying out from the fuel rail at the #3 injector. Long story short, I found that I bent the top flange of the injector and split the new o-ring trying to reef it in. I was able to straighten the flange, replace the o-ring and all is well.
Scary.

Itrhybrid,
Damn they are 350 a piece now??? I think i saw a groupbuy for 170 for the dragon fly not that long ago.... I know they have quite a few types and I am sure this is a factor.
If they are 350 a piece i think the 13in te37's go for around the low 200s, not sure of the weight but i would say it is comparable and they can be used on the street i believe.
I know at this time bogarts are on back order also i checked last week....but the quote i got was comsiderably cheaper than 350 but still it was expensive....i guess thats due to the laws of supply and demand.

Decent enough I guess if you need a set of light bulbs or something like that but for anything else, go elsewhere. As to where I can't give you much advice on that, I do most of my purchasing via the net after soliciting input and advice from folks on boards much like this one.
