b16 tossed aside... well actually, the head found a nice new home on top of my cousin's fully built b20/vtec. (pics and specs coming soon!)


out came the stock brakes/suspension, in went gsr equipment.

how much did u get the GSR BRAKES FOR? if i wanted GSR brakes do i have to get the GSR susp. even though i have coliovers and shocks?

His 1.6 was very qucik. Kept the LSD tranny i hope!

 

Well, it took us the weekend to complete everything. We swapped the motor and the suspension all the way around. You can keep your existing shocks and coilovers. I've got tokicos and skunk2 coils.

At first i was unhappy with the swap, the way it was in the pics. Then i added a couple hundred dollars worth of upgrades and a big smile appeared.

Actually, it was my cousin's swap. He needed the b16 head for his b20/vtec because the pistons he used we're too compression happy for the gsr head. So instead of swapping just that, we swapped motors. No way i was giving up the tranny.

I did keep the itr valvecover, just not in the pics.

Yes Ben, the 1.6 was pretty quick but the 1.8 is a lil fasterer.

Makes me miss my 1.8. That motor was very inspiring and LOUD on the dyno.
