Hondata and Jackson Racing releases Big boost JR kits
JRSC Big Boost kits
We are pleased to announce that we now have pre-tuned maps available for Jackson Racing supercharger kits fully mapped for all boost levels up to 11psi. Kits are available for the following engines:
B16A - 99-00 Civic SI, 93-97 Del Sol VTEC
B18C - 94-01 Integra GSR
B18C5 - 97-01 Integra Type R
D16Z - 92-00 Civic EX
H22A - 92-01 Prelude
Complete supercharger kits or upgrade kits including pulleys, belts, ECU, injectors, Hondata and map are available through Moss Performance.
Every engine was extensively tested for part and full throttle operation at varying levels of boost. These are our most comprehensively tuned maps to date.

To be honest, the #'s seem low. Only 245 on a gsr with 10psi??? That doesn't seem right. Over on the jrsc board, there are members who are reaching 230's with 6psi. Go figure.
Well, ya gotta consider that those engines are probably not tuned to the ragged edge of performance. There is definitely a tradeoff between power and safety and they've probably tried to idiot-proof the setup to some extent.
Sonny
if they read 230 at 6psi they may have also used a deferent dyno type thus giving a higher number ... all dynos very
Im absolutely sure for the Prelude that the gas it was tuned with was 91 octane. Im pretty positive that was what the other cars were tuned with as well. Thats excellent reliable hp at only 91 octane because thats the highest california gas goes (unless you go pick up some 100 oct. at a 76). Some people may probably be able squeeze out more hp if their area has 93 or even 94 octane.
Be aware that many factors affect boost levels in JR superchargers.
- Cam timing will change boost levels.
- Boost drops 1-2 lb after vtec engages.
- A cold air intake will add 0.3-0.5 lb of intake manifold pressure (boost).
- A restrictive exhaust will increase boost levels and also reduce power considerably. In the case of the Prelude charted here, removing the cat, and replacing the rear muffler (which had a 1.75 inch exit!) would both decrease the boost and increase the power.
So when people say their JR system was dynoed with a 6 lb kit, it could be from anywhere from 5-8 lb boost. To be sure you have to datalog it.
What is not apparent in these charts is the bottom end torque and part throttle to boost improvement.

whoa whoa whoa, hold the phone... did i miss something here.... they offer a supercharger for the 92 up prelude (4th gen) vtec? is this just a typo or what?
The post was meant to indicate the engine for which there are maps rather than the car. If you can get the supercharger to fit we can supply the engine management.
