Default AEM V2. My impression and a pic.

Well i recently got rid or my AEM ITR cai for the new V2 system. For those of you that dont know its just now bigger pipeing. Theres actually a chamber inside that kinda stores and creates almost a charging effect. This all sounds super cool and all but is the truth. Well id have to say that i really like mine. It feels like it had more throttle response in the low to mid range and never feels like its starved for air. I have one for a 99-00 SI and it fits perfect in my 97 DX with a B18B. It comes with the new tranny vibration bracket which i thought was very nice and a sinch to install. It took all of 20 minutes to install this intake. I have no compaints at all and am very happy with the performance, fitment, finish and the sound. Well heres the only pic i have right now and if you have any questions post em up. I would buy this intake again. Hey i have some good info for anyone interested in this intake. Check this link out and it will explain the helmholtz resonator which is utilized on the V2 intake system. Check it out.

How much of an improvement was there over the ITR CAI?

Definately let us know what you think in the long run, when you get to drive it around some more. Doesn't look bad.

Thats great to know as I will be choosing between these two intakes. I was beginning to think that the V2 was all hype, but now there's actually some proof that the V2 is an improvment over the V1.

dont know about the bypass valve, might want to check AEM's website

i also just recently purchased the AEM v2 peice, and shifting normally during my daily commute feels nicer for some reason, the power uptop was improved, and was actually slightly noticable as well. overall im very pleased.
