", but those shock towers look like they are in the stock location just cut and re welded. I thought as long as they were in the stock location it was fine, the car defently does not look like a tube chassis car, I mean look at gm's car they are deffenty pushing the envelope.I have not check the rule book for hotrod closely so I might be wrong. Maybe pics should be sent to Jim Skelly, to get his opinion before he goes further with the car. Jason

I wonder how many hours of work went into that car total. I remember seeing it last october at Etown, and it looked nothing like that, except for some of the cage. Good Job once again Dave.

Jason, you could be totally right...im not sure. I think the rules say something to the effect of stock mounting points as well but they look raised up to me and are made of not the stock material. I have no idea though. And yeah...im sure the car is a HR car. Car looks awesome and super clean. It will suck putting it on the track cause the cars get beat up. Im sure Jim can clear it up.

cool...yeah, if its just metal on top of metal to strengthen the shock towers, id say your good to go. From the pics it just looked like they were raised up or were a custom shock tower put back in.
yep, your right, thats all it is..trying to make the shock towers as strong as possible..our whole "thing" when we were building the car was to make it as stiff as we possibly could...

I had the same idea you did with the top bars of the wheeliebars right into the cage. It almost makes a larger triangle which in turn has to be stronger.

it.
