azenis grip good.. but they are not designed to be a drag race tire. they have stiffened sidewalls so they corner good. for drag racing you want a soft sidewall so the tire will buckle and grip.

ive driven the azenis at the track and pulled 2.2 60ft's. most people pull 2.0 60ft''s with bfg's.

street use Azenis
track use bfg

Ive driven on both. and I can honestly say i did not like the azenis at all.

possibly it was the car they were on, but they wheel hopped like crazy. they didn't hook up good either(apposed to bfg's)

somehow lots of people still manage to cut 2.0's on azenis but more people do it consistantly and easier on bfgs.

for a daily driver id consider azenis cause they last awhile and are cheap. hook up ok too.

Yea, I've cut 2.1s on Azenis...but I'd figure the BFGs would be a lot better.

I second that...the 555r's are junk....Get the BfGs if you plan on making some serious HP or plan on racing alot...

azeni's are sticky as hell...in the corners people!!!

super stiff sidewalls are NOT good for drag

Which ones last longer? How long do each of these last? Which bfg's are you talking about. Aren't there two different ones.

Life for a drag radial isnt too long...Tire life is not on the top of the list of manufacturers when it comes to building a tire for traction...you just cant have both...Yes, there are two different versions of the BfG but the better of the two would be the G-Force T/A...

Street = Azenis
Drag only = BFG

I raced with my BFG KD's and then with my BFG Drags....world of difference...no more wheel hop....2.0 60's BUT after a year of having them I think they are giving up the ghost....try to keep the drag radials out of the sun when they are not in use.....I think I dried mine up due to them being in the back of my hatch when not at the track. Lesson learned

Also if 90% of the time your cruising/turning/braking with the car on the street the azenis makes much more sense. The BFG is like a rubber donut.....vague feedback and squishy response aka scary at higher speeds on the street. Not a tire I felt comfortable 3 wheeling with

i have gotten ALOT of wheel hop from Azenis probably cause of the stiff sidewalls...best was a 2.2...

BFGs are the obvious choice over the two since thats what it was designed to do(drag)

the 555r's just look nasty but no performance compared to the bfg's

So for tires for the streets with a turbo civic (I'm trying to get rid of my tires spinning) which tires would be the best for performance, longevity, and price. I have 24" slicks for the track so these would be strickly for the street. By the way how are the bfg's that aren't the G-Force T/A?

not too good for drag racing with your front wheels.

I pull consistent 2.2 60ft on my street tires also (Falken Ziex 512s). I wouldn't trade them for a fast wearing, soft rubber compound when I can get the same performance out of a cheaper, longer lasting tire through the same manufacturer. Azenis = Overrated

I cut 2.20 on my all season Yokohamas last season. I'll find out this week if Azenis can do any better. I know they're not drag tires, but neither were my Yok's. They seem like great daily driver tires as long as you're not burning them off at every stop sign or AutoX'ing them every weekend.

BFG's are made using super soft drag slick compound except they cut grooves in em for some stability in the rain.
