if you can get a set of sideskirts w/ just using a jdm vin i can prolly think of about 10 people who would want a set of those skirts. but i don't see how the vin number of a jdm car will find you a set of japaneese sideskirts in the us or canada. basicly what i'm saying is your prolly gonna get some bad news when you go to order, the vin don't mean anything.... besides if you want one from a ef9 just go on ebay and copy the numbers off a pic of the tag

man

first off i have contacts in a few countries who can order th parts. second a vin# is in the firewall or dash and other pleaces. not on that blue badge your thinking of. and finaly the vin# is used to put into the computer to find a part # for the skirting. if you type in the vin the car comes up with everything for it listed.

ok well my bad about your contacts, just seems a little far fetched. any 90-91 ef hatch should have the sideskirts your looking for why can't they just look it up that way. just don't make sense... tpi hasn't reply'd to your questions on the vin?

boy someone's really bitter. why don't you post here when you change your attitude and get some of your supposid New JDM parts... if you search you'll find them. i've allready found a set of new skirts... OPEN YOUR EYES. 90-91 sir is all the same.... therefore if he looks up 90-91 civic sir he should find all the parts you need if it's a dealership... you don't need a vin to order parts

You dont need that to order parts, period. Whenever I go to get a part from Honda I just tell them what I need and thats it. Bottom line. JDM stuff should be no difference.

ok let me just say whats going on........

i WENT in person to the dealer in london UK (pics to prove it ........http://www.nitekids.com/beta.html) it was just outside London chiswick honda was its name. and i went to the parts desk said im looking for 1990-91 EF9 Civic SiR or 90-91 Civic VT h/b (uk version) so he starts looking. keep in mind these cars are rare (serch honda civic with postal code w5 5db might want to make results for national). after a few min hes like ok i got a SI model parts list but not what your talking about. theres no skirting. hes like if you give me any Vin# for any 90-91 car that had them then he has to type it in and there pops up everything. without it all there is listed is no SiR or VT model.

i'm surprised that no one believes what you're saying!!!! people sometimes..

this may work:

go to http://www.altavista.com
go to translate
type http://auctions.yahoo.co.jp
change language to Japanese to english
click translate
click on automobile
click on body
click on honda
click on Ti- Bick
then scroll to bottom and click photo only

find an EF, and see if you can get a vin that way.. they may list them.

You cannot order JDM parts from a dealership in the US, regardless of whether you have the part number or VIN. It won't show up in the computer, and these parts aren't carried at Honda's US parts distribution facilities.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by spun Vtec &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">the vin number tells everything about a car :

USDM VINs are nowhere near the same as JDM VINs. The format is completely different.

The computer won't recognize a JDM VIN anyway.
