A little ole turbo setup i slapped together...
Well, i just finished tuning a turbo setup i've been putting together for a guy. It's a built gsr block, 83mm bore, 10:1 compression. Stock gsr head with Rev springs and retainers. Edlebrock intake manifold, Erick's 72/70mm t/b, Full Race manifold, Precision SC61 turbo, XS Engineering IC, custom 2.5" aluminum ic piping, 3" dp and custom exhaust, speed pro computer, and a few other little things here and there. We haven't hooked the avc-r up yet so this was just off the wastegate spring. I don't have the sheet scanned yet so that'll have to wait, but it made 372whp and 231wtq at 9 psi on pump gas! The next step is more boost and race gas...
Wow! Those are some impressive numbers especially at 9psi and pump gas.
Keep us updated when you crank up the boost and run some race gas.

Only time will tell. But, i've got a very conservative tune in it. The timing is only 18deg. total advance which is super low for 9psi and the fuel is around 12:1. There was absolutely no detonation on the dyno. With the smoothing factor of the dyno set on 1 the curve is still very smooth. The pistons are also thermal coated so it'll keep a little heat off them. With no detonation there shouldn't be any problems.

I was using 72lb msd injectors but didn't get a chance to log the duty cycle. With the speed pro you only log 8 sensors at a time and that wasn't a concern at this power level. We've run 720s to over 550whp before so i'm not too worried about it.
man, i was hoping to make that kind of power at 14lbs of boost. a little different setup, but hopefully i'll be able to do it.

I'd like to know too. Thinking of a similar setup, but with 9:1 comp
Although this has maybe swayed me a little, 370 WHP @ 9 PSI is wicked awesome for a daily driver.

On a 9:1 compresion motor the SC61 reached full boost(19psi) at 4500rpm.
I think tony said he got full boost on his 10:1 at 4000-4200rpm-ish.
The turbo I sold you tony had my magic touch.
JK, you know the whole set up worked as a whole.

Dont worry, I put the magic touch on the manifold I sold you.

I hope the turbo you sold Tony for me has your magic touch too.

Scott, I didnt sell tony that turbo. I think he is now direct with them(Precision). So it didnt get my touch, which might explain some things.
