Default CRX Armrest?

DOes any body on here have an actual CRX armrest? I hear that there very rare, is this true?My brother is getting one that has a part number and a box from honda and everything that says Civic/crx armrest. if any body does have one could you post pics? ( i do not want pics of armrests from a teg.) is it worth it to trade an d16y8 intake manifold from a 97 ex for the armrest + cash for it, what is it worth?? any info?

They're pretty rare now. They pop up on eebay every occasionally (usually end up around $150 -200); if he's thinking of selling it, tell him not to - it's a real lifesaver, especially on long trips.

you can't buy them from Honda anymore, if that was what you were getting at. That is what makes them rare.

The perfect armrest for me in the CRX is the bolster toward the bottom of the seat, the one on the side of your stomach - holds my elbow perfectly!!

If you're talking abou the OEM crx armrest, yes, you are missing some stuff. There's a bracket that attaches to the rear inside bolt for each seat, which the rear of the armrest gets screwed onto. For the fronts, yes, you do have to drill through the ebrake covering, and there's a metal u-clip that the screw goes into to keep the ebrake covering attached to the armrest.

If that totally confused you, I can take some pics this weekend.

I'm using a 95 Teg armrest on my crx, works fine, just a tad bit short from the center console though.

As far as the DC2 armrest fitting in a crx....... the answer is it will fit, but wont look right. The crx consol is angled twords the driver, where as the integra consol isnt. So when you mount the integra consol in the crx you will notice a gap at the top and it wont line up correctly. However, if you dont care about that and just want the function out of the arm rest then go ahead and do it.
