Yes it happens, but experienced riders drop bikes as well. I'm a new rider and have yet to drop my bike. Don't discourage new riders. I highly recommend MSF as a good beginning point... In my opinion it's pretty damn hard to lay down a bike, have self-control and RIDE WITHIN YOUR LIMITS and you'll be just fine...

why would i laugh? It's ******* sad. I guess you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink or whatever. At least I didn't tell you so
Poor RR. My friend stalled today on a hill and almost dropped it. We were waiting for cars to stop coming so we could turn right at a light then the last car passed and he went to go and stalled. At first I was like oh **** he's gonna set it down...then he saved it and I started laughing like hell.
The damage does not like bad at all. I bet that no one will notice it and you will have to point it out to them. But man you jinxed yourself with that post you made. Just gain the knowledge of your mistake and move on.
That is nothing! Big deal! You didn't break any signals, mirrors, no cracked plastic, nothing!
Please do yourself a favor. Get some frame savers on that bike now before you regret it in the future.

How tall are you ? Were you stopped, or were you moving (even slightly) ?
Anyone seen that video of the guy on the yellow 999 Duc where he's pulling out of a garage bay or something, it stalls and he falls right over ?
I still don't understand how he dropped it. Heh, I'd throw myself under the bike first, lol. A friend of mine did that a couple weeks ago when he got off his Tiller and the stand wasn't all the way down.

That is why both my bike and the wifeys are used. It's less painful when dropped.
