i searched but didnt really now what to put in the search so didnt find anything. i wanna buy this guys motor but just want to make sure its legit model and year. its a b16 sir2 longblock. what are the indentifieng numbers on the block and head? and how to tell what year it is. thnx guys
on the head it is stamp'd the year it was manufactured.
On the block if it just says B16A, its JDM if it says B16A1/2/3 etc its not JDM

Here you can find the date it was cast, mine even though it came in a 93 VTi,was cast in 91
If it is a JDM motor,it won't have the 2 at the end, just B16A.There is another stamp on the head,to the right of the date stamp that has PR3,P30,P72,etc...that can be used to sort of tell when it was made, and what it was in.You can look for white,or grey plugs, the white being 1st gen and the grey being the later OBD I + models.
