Koni Neuspeed Vs Regular Koni Yellows
What are the differences between the two?
I know the neuspeed edition sp3's have 5 perches, and they have a shorter rod legnth in the shock body, compared to regular koni yellows which have 3 perches.
Many local people have told me that shorter rod legnth will be bad for my car, possibly causing it to bottom out the shock easier. I will be installing the koni's with h&r race springs on my 95 gsr, and those springs are quite a low drop.
Anyone have any opinions/comments on either of these two versions of the koni yellow shock. I tried searching and couldnt find any threads on the differences between the two, and the pro's and cons between them.

We've talked at length on the differences in this forum (even Lee @ Koni and Neuspeed themselves chimed in on one thread). Search a little harder and you'll find some good info.

you've already pointed out the differences between the two. really, either shock will work good for what you want. the shorter shaft will not increase the amount your car bottoms out (which, by the way, it will do a lot of) but it will decrease the chances of you destroying the shock internally when you do bottom out.

I have the Neuspeeds. I like em. The big difference is that I can't raise my car up to Ranchero height, even if I wanted to. But if you are running low drop springs, they are pretty good. One of the things I liked about having coilover sleeves was that the small springs being loose under droop made taking things apart easy. I have lost that with these shocks. My springs are always preloaded, even though I have the car up to about max height (which isn't very high, 2 finger tire gap maybe)
I purchased mine under the impression that I was getting 20 mm of travel, before the reality was published here. Live and learn I guess. Still 100 times better than Tokico blues
