Badass writeup, dude!!

Haha...I used to use masonite on my skateboard ramps. It's tough ****.
It's too late now, but do NOT overtighten the bolts that are inside the JR manifold. The heat from the blower will bake those suckers in there so tight that they are damn near impossible to get out.

Well done kevin, I am glad its finally finished.
I can see you had a time putting that in there with those mounts.
I am glad I got the place mounts, it looks like it made the install
much easier. But the important thing is you were imaginative, and
woulnd't let anything stop you. I respect that.
happy boosting my freind.

thanks for the comments guys. i dont have numbers....i dont plan on getting them either unless theres a cheap dyno day or something in my area. my next plans are to up the boost (once the boost bug bites) and then get the LHT intercooler
i have the same setup and was thinking of the intercooler also, if you get before me let me know if it helps out alot. i put on the stepper pulley on for the 9psi but make sure you tighten that nut as much as you can. (dont want that getting lose) i know.

True, but that is better then having one of those come loose, as I have heard has happened to several other board members!
NIce setup dude, looks like i beat you by about a week or two...but you def had a harder install then me. Go have a

BTW kevin you should prolly unhook that hose going from the valve cover to the intake. I know that stock, but I have read alot that the oil vapors that get sucked through that can lower the octane rating and cause a little detenation.
its up to you. I know you have done a ton of research on this install, so I am pretty sure you have read it somwhere also. but just thought I might bring it up.

yeah i've been debating on how to hook up my catch can, so i've been holding off for now. thanks for the warning though.

I'm about to begin installing a b18c1 w/ JRSC into a 91 CRX SI using Place Racing Mounts... I'll also be using a hydrolic b16 transmission (via hasport conversion kit) . Does anyone know of what problems I should expect to run into? Should I expect to run into the same problems listed on this post, even though it's for different mounts? I hear place racing mounts place the engine closer to the front-- this would help with clearance, right? TIA
the taller b18c will make the blower pulley closer to the master cylinder.. not sure if the new hasport mounts will make it lower.
i shimmed my master cylinder up and have plenty of clearance.. maybe enough for the kit on a gsr.
i think your throttlebody will fit better being a little higher up.
just hope everything goes ok.

wow that's a tight fit. very nice writeup.
what did you do for LSD and clutch?
i'd like to see some times but no doubt without an LSD this car will never hook so I'm guessing you got that taken care of before you crammed all that in there... i hope... ??
when do you plan to run it? and what are you doing for computer? just stock computer with vafc and fmu?

yes i've heard the place racing mounts make the motor go towards the front of the bay as well. i am unsure if this means it will be closer to the MC or not. "Johnny Black" that replied at the top of this thread had the same setup, and i think he used place racing mounts. i dont recall him having any troubles with clearing the MC. keep in mind, an alternative would be to run a smaller blower pulley (this will of course increase the boost though too).
