0-60 ?
0-100 ?
0-130 ?

I am just very curious becuase today some guy was swearing that "his boys" 350 will run a 13.8 stock to my 14.3 bla bla, he went on and on. Just curious if any one has raced any of these in any of those above situations. Let me know, thanks!

 

if you suck at launching, he'll beat you every time. the 0 to whatever in the S is all about the launch, like as it is with most cars. its just difficult to find that sweet spot with out actually having a lot of wear and tear on the drivetrain.

if you are into the street racing scene, I guess the 0-60 would matter, but out on the road course, they are very very comparable cars with very different behaviours.

 

yea ive only had my s for about a week now and im loving it, but i did race my friends gts and i got good practice launching a few times with him. I feel like i let it go at 6500 it catches at about 4800 and goes nice, any higher - im scared, any lower - it shoots down to 2k rpms. I know they have 287 hp but i test drove them too and its a muscle car feel as aposed to a gocart on crack in the s2k so i really cannot say which one is faster. I know the 350 feels much faster but that has a whole lot to do with its tourque numbers. No one else out there has acually raced one?

 

i though there was a huge s2000 vs 350 thread a long time ago, or maybe it was a S2000 VS ITR

i believe that the 350Z would win....stock for stock...a lot of people down here at the track say they run fast times...and i don't often hear s2000's running good times.

 

you guys obviously dont know much a s2k will **** over a 350Z anyday, ive seen a bone stock s2k hit 13.9 at the track

 

Given equal drivers, the 350Z should begin to pull as you approach 100mph. Also, the reason people see 350Z's running faster times is because it's much more driver-friendly. You don't have to launch the 350Z at 7000rpm (even though that's not possible).

ive seen a 350z run 13.8 bone stock, whats your point?

 

Why do people have to hate cars just because they aren't hondas? I appreciate any technological marvel whether it a be a honda, nissan, or whatever and I think a lot of other people do too.

 

I've seen the s2000 run 13.9 stock and the s2000 has shorter gear ratio's than the 350z and the s2000 is lighter but im still not quite sure who will win. It'll have to also depend on the driver and launch.

lol.. I tend to not give a **** either.. I think it's more difficult to get a good launch in an S2k. Not everyone can run 13.9s in a stock S2k..

If that ricer comment was meant to me, you are speaking out of your ***. I was curious because the 350z and s2000 are both VERY similar priced cars in the same class and my choice was between the two. I like both cars very much and I was curious if anyone had track, road, or any experience with the two cars. As far as big threads about this topic already try using the search, it sucks, type in s2000 and 350 and see what comes out. On mine NOTHING comes back. If you don't care done answer, you obviously care enough to be posting in a room trying to be cool or whatever your doing, so if people out there do care and have posted thank you. What i got from this is depending on the driver it could go either way that's all i really wanted to know. thank you for all those who answered nicely, for the others i don't know who it was directed out but we could of done without all your criticism

 

I am a HONDA fans
but the 350z looks real hot right now!!
For this year, I may still go for s2000 because 350z is in first year production and I want to know more about them before getting it!!

To me, I care about about the out look more then performance! So I would say both are really good!! 350z does have a bit faster speed
