Power Windows/Locks on my EH3
I ran across some EX door panels and just bought an alarm, so I figured I'd throw out this question since I want to stay as OEM as possible with this stuff;
What all do I need as far as mechanisms go for the power locks and power windows to work?
How much do they go for, and does anyone have this stuff laying around?
PS: Please don't tell me to hit up a junkyard. St Louis is completely VOID of ANY and ALL Hondas in their junkyards...

If you want power locks, don't bother installing oem ones, they're a pita. It's easier to buy the actuators from DEI for like $20 each and install those. Real easy.
you can call up a honda dealer and buy power window actuators. suprisingly they are not expensive. i called my self because i wanted to convert my roll-ups to power and they said it would be $92 for each actuator, and this is just general public price. if you are able to get it on accout. i'm pretty sure you can bring it down to $70-$80 each.
I just did it on my 92 hatch. i havent finished the locks yet because i dont have the power lock actuators yet. but check out my tech. http://repo.jackmoves.com/view...bun42

I paid about 200 for what was shown in the first 2 pictures. New locks with power actuators from a 95 ex coupe will run you about 90 each if you cant find em from a junkyard. (i still havent done the locks yet but they are ready to go when i get the actuators.) Most stuff you can get on ebay. One thing is that you shouldnt even try to find the oem wiring to hook up the passenger harness to the inside of the car because its a part of the main harness on the ex and nobody carrys it. A new one from honda FYI is about 900$ heh.
fOmaNPu, I can get the the power window unit if you want that. There is an EG EX that still has the window parts still on it. Let me know if you want it.
About the rugs, my cousin decided to keep it since he bought a new HB- sorrie.

ok. listen to me cuz i did this exact thing. i put 99 civic si doors on my 96 dx hatch. i came across the whole doors so i have almost everything needed. its really not that hard. u just take off your fenders and sideskirts to get the doors off. then just bolt them up. be sure to change the locks to the ones you have now. in order to make them work, all you need is to order a herness from honda. its the one that goes under the carpet and into the fuel pump. i think it goes for around 200-400 dollars. i got mine on hookup for 200. ya, i know, its expencive. the harness is basicly just plug and play. just plug it in where you unplug the other. there will be an extra plug that goes to the doors under the dash on the sides. thats probably the hardest part, getting it through the wall under the dash. good luck

My friend and I actually installed an alarm today, granted he did most of the gruntwork. Hes an installer at Custom Sounds, so it went really well. The actuators were the easy part really, it was mostly just soldering and heatshrinking alot of wires. I still want the power windows tho.
